It is no longer the Camino de Santiago, but it is the way I am going now.

The foot is doing better, although I would not set out on an 18 mile walk. It is going to take a bit more time to get back to that. For now, I am mostly content to rest it, though I feel like I’m “wasting” my sabbatical. We will see what the days ahead bring.
The sun is rising on a new day here in Ireland. Keep you posted.

On the idea of “wasting” your sabbatical: Think about the prayers and meditations you were making while on the Camino, the thin places you were finding where peace and rest were entering in. There are many thin places in Ireland. Take the Sabbath, the rest that has been given and let Ireland’s thin places come to you. Rest, true rest, is never a waste.
Very true.
Be in the moment…let your thoughts be calm. It is ok to just be.
Changing gears. Sometimes the clutch sticks.
Hang in there. We need you back in good shape. You can walk to church every day if you want!!!!!

Ha ha. I’ll keep that in mind.
Good to hear you’re resting up. Take care and as Paul Allen said, “you can walk to church if you’d like.” Another day and another time for your walk that you’ve thought about for so long. Peace.
I will eventually make it happen. Just keeping it on the bucket list a little longer.
