WEEK THREE PROMPT
The curve ball in life is inevitable. There are many options to deal with them—whine, cry, wine, scream, rest, think, pray, give up, roll with it, etc., all of the above. What is your preferred method? How do you deal? Is there always a silver lining or just the pit of despair?

I like the idea of having a bit of chocolate. It also helps with Dementors.
We’ll never know, due to whatever means, God changes our path, to overt something possibly much more painful, wh
That is an excellent point.
I tend to scream, cry, whine, think, pray, talk it out with friends, scream and cry it out a little more, pray a little more, think a little more (overthink sometimes), let go of the frustration finally, and then roll with it and move on. This could take minutes, hours, days, or longer depending on the severity of the curve ball or what aspect of the very high expectations I have for myself has been dinged or what plan or deeply held desire has been squashed.
Yes. Severity and impact play an important.
Growing up with my three sisters if I cried or whined, I was told to grow up and stop being a baby. That usually lead to yelling and screaming at them. My mom would then send me to my room and tell me to think about my behavior. What I thought about and prayed for was to be old enough to move out and be on my own. When I moved out, I threw myself in to work and learned to roll with it.
Then God threw me the biggest curve ball of my life. He provided me with someone who taught me that if I was going to be in the game life that there would me a lot of curve balls thrown at me. Together we have dealt all the curves balls and a lot of fast balls thrown at us. We have been through the pits of despair and came out on the other side. The innings seem to be getting longer but we have been able to stay in the game. I may not know what the balls and strike count is anymore, but that is the silver lining in this game of LIFE.
There is a great deal of wisdom in what you say. Thank you for your thoughtful answer.
